Gerloff to race Moriwaki MD250H at Indy Moto GP The 2010 national champion and number #1 plate holder for the USGPRU, Garrett Gerloff, will return to compete in the Moriwaki MD250H Challenge Powered by Honda spec class at the Indianapolis MotoGP race on August 28th-29th. Gerloff Boys Racing will field a two-rider/brother team with top-10 contender Grayson Gerloff piloting his #310 machine. “I hope to be on the box. It would be great if both of us could podium at this huge race,” says Grayson. “This is a super competitive spec class, so I know it will be some good racing.” Garrett Gerloff moved to a 600cc at the end of last year and is currently campaigning the WERA National Challenge Series. “It will be weird to get back on the smaller bike. “I hope I still fit on it!” said Gerloff, who turned 15 last weekend and has gained 20 pounds and grown 3 inches since winning his Championship last year. “I’ve tried to gain weight and strength all year so I could be competitive on the 600, now I have to shed the weight by the end of August. I will be a lean mean fighting machine by race time.” “We will keep Garrett on the 600 through the WERA Cycle Jam at VIR, but Grayson will start testing his bike this weekend,” commented Brian Stokes, Gerloff Boys Racing coach and mentor. “Garrett will start running the Moriwaki at the Talladega regional event in mid-August to get him up to speed for Indy.” Gerloff Boys Racing proudly represents REV’IT Apparel, Dunlop Tires, MOTOREX Racing Oils, Scorpion EXO Helmets, Leo Vince Exhaust, Sidi Boots, Turner’s Cycle, Stickboy Racing, T2 Tire Warmers, Ohlins Suspension, Vortex, Galfer USA Braking Systems, Pit Bull Products, Cycle Gear, and DCDecals.
