A video has popped up on YouTube showing Geoff May’s Erik Buell Racing 1190RR racebike fitted with reflectors on the forks legs, turn signals and a license plate hanger on the tail section, and operational radiator cooling fans, which are all streetbike requirements and not normally used in racing. In fact, a voice is heard during the video pointing out the radiator fans and that they are out of place, presumably, on a racebike. Project “Barracuda 2,” a Buell 1190R streetbike and 1190RR racebike, was in its final stages of development when Harley-Davidson decided to shut down Buell Motorcycle Company in October 2009. The 1190R/1190RR is a lighter, narrower, more powerful version of the 1125R.
