Metro Racing named official apparel provider at premier AMA events PICKERINGTON, Ohio — The American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) is pleased to welcome Metro Racing Inc., as the official apparel provider for several premier AMA events this summer, beginning with AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days, July 9-11 at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio. Metro will also be on hand for the AMA Racing Road Race Grand Championships, July 12-15 also at Mid-Ohio, and the AMA Racing Dirt Track Grand Championships, July 17-23 at the Du Quoin, Ill., State Fairgrounds. “Long known for quality, vintage-themed gear and T-shirts, Metro Racing brings a unique flavor to the market with its broad and well-established line of motorcycling clothing,” said Tigra Tsujikawa, special events manager for the AMA. “AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days is an event that fits precisely with Metro Racing’s classic style, and attendees will find an attractive selection on location at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. We encourage everyone to visit one of their locations and purchase the official T-shirt as a great memento of this event.” Attendees at AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days will find event apparel available in the swap meet, near the public service displays area and at the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame tent. Locations are identified on the event map that will be distributed to all attendees at the gate. AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days includes national championship racing in vintage and post-vintage motocross, hare scrambles, trials, dirt track and roadracing. In addition, the three-day event features North America’s largest motorcycle swap meet, educational seminars, bike shows, demo rides of current production bikes, the Federal Companies/Allied Used Bike Corral, motorcycling seminars, the new product Manufacturers’ Midway, and club corrals featuring marque and regional clubs. Proceeds from AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days benefit the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame. The goal of the Hall of Fame, located on the campus of the AMA in Pickerington, Ohio, is to honor the distinguished men and women whose competitive spirit, passion, vision and entrepreneurship have played a vital role in shaping the sport, lifestyle and business of motorcycling.
