Summit Point, WV – Mike Selpe (114) aboard his Yamaha R6 took the Pirelli Diablo 600 Challenge on a sunny Monday afternoon here at Summit Point. With temperatures hovering in the 90’s and many riders fighting less than ideal track conditions as they hunted for traction Selpe made the win look relatively easy. On the opening lap Gary Yancoskie (521) and James Fotinopoulos (17) made it look like there was going to be a race tangling with Selpe as they rounded the 2-mile circuit. But after putting three laps in the bag Selpe’s lead was nearly three seconds. Selpe went on to build a gap finishing 6.24 seconds ahead of Yancoskie. Fotinopoulos finished one second behind Yancoskie in third.
