CCS Florida – Homestead-Miami Speedway May 31, 2010
Sean Dwyer won the Unlimited Grand Prix race at Homestead-Miami Speedway after taking over the lead from Santiago Villa in the first lap of the race and running away with the win. Behind him, Villa held on to second place to finish the race ahead of first time Shooutout podium finisher, Rey Dominguez, Jr.
Dwyer also won the GTO, Heavyweight Supersport, and Unlimited Superbike races. He finished second to Villa in Unlimited Supersport.
Villa returned to racing after a two and a half month hiatus to recover from injuries and emerged as the winningest expert of the weekend nabbing five victories out of the ten classes he entered. Villa won the GTU, Unlimited Supersport, Middleweight Supersport, Middleweight Grand prix, and Heavyweight Superbike classes. He also finished second in Heavyweight Supersport, Unlimited Superbike, Middleweight Superbike, and third in the GTO class.
The winningest racer of the day was Amateur Sean Cassell, sweeping all his classes with six first place finishes. Cassell won the Amateur GTU, Middleweight Supersport, Heavyweight Supersport, Middleweight Superbike, Heavyweight Superbike, and Middleweight Grand Prix classes.
Amateur Katharin Zimpel also swept her classes and finished the weekend as the second winningest amateur with four first place finishes. Zimpel won the Amateur GT Lights, Lightweight Grand Prix, Lightweight Superbike, and Thunderbike classes.
