Rizla Suzuki’s Álvaro Bautista has sustained a broken shoulder whilst training in readiness for next week’s French Grand Prix. Bautista had a fall whilst riding his motocross machine on Thursday and underwent a successful one-hour operation today to repair what his surgeon describes as a simple break to the clavicle bone in his shoulder. His medical team is confident that Bautista can ride at Le Mans next week, although it may be with some pain and restricted movement. Bautista is also sure that he will be ready for the French Grand Prix and is 100% focused on competing at Le Mans. Therefore, Rizla Suzuki has no plans at present to replace Bautista for the French Grand Prix on Sunday 23rd May and will update news on his condition as it becomes available.
