Andrew Pitt Statement Regarding Absence From Monza Round Dual World Champion Andrew Pitt has voiced his concerns about the future of Reitwagen Motosport BMW world superbike team. The team pulled out of Assen at short notice, leaving Andrew without a ride on the Wednesday before the race. At the time, the team owner assured Andrew he would be competing in round 5 at Monza. However, the team owners have gone into hiding, and Pitt has been left without a ride. Andrew Pitt, “The team has decided to withdraw from this weekend due to ongoing financial problems. This comes as no surprise to me and I feel that the team had no intention of competing here this weekend. There is a complete lack of communication at this stage and nobody can be contacted. “I am meeting with BMW shortly to discuss these problems. “I am also fielding offers from BSB, EWC and other WSBK teams”.
