MURRIETA, CA (May 7, 2010) KTM North America and The Mid-Ohio School will extend their unique ‘Arrive and Ride’ program, adding a Race_Orange Track Day Experience session on Thursday, July 8, at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. The first four scheduled events April 26, 27 and July 7, 19 filled to capacity well in advance of each date. The high level of demand for this ‘Arrive and Ride’ format was the impetus behind adding a fifth date just preceding the AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course (July 9-11). With just 60 spots available, the July 8 session is expected to fill up quickly. Spots will be on sale beginning at 5:30 p.m. EDT today (Friday, May 7) at www.midohioschool.com. “With four dates on the schedule in 2010 at Mid-Ohio compared to two last year, we thought we had met the demand for this program. After selling out the July dates well in advance and seeing the April dates fill up as well, clearly there is great enthusiasm to ride KTMs at a world-class track like Mid-Ohio,” said John Hinz, product line manager at KTM North America. This factory track day event features fully prepped KTM motorcycles for each participant. Models available include the KTM 1190 RC8 R, 1190 RC8, 990 SMR and 690 Duke. The cost includes use of the KTM motorcycle, fuel, tires and track day fee. The program serves two purposes: Not only does it provide an opportunity for riders to get on track without the need to transport their bikes to the facility, but it also gives them a chance to ride the latest lineup of KTM street bikes. Riders of all skill levels are welcome and will be split into three groups riding in four 20-minute sessions throughout the day. This event is open to novice, intermediate and advanced riders. KTM has been the official motorcycle of The Mid-Ohio School since 2008.
