Waznie Racing: Sunday May 2nd 2010 – Port Colborne ON – Jordan Szoke Wins first Observed Trials Event As Jordan Szoke donned on his gear for his first Observed Trials event for 2010, the skies threatened to live up to the weather forecast with raindrops splattering the ground at the Port Colborne Quarry. This would be the first CMA sanctioned event presented by the Welland County Motorcycle Club where Szoke was able to compete with his CMA #1. Jordan won the national championship in Mécaglisse last season. The skies cleared quickly and presented the 40 eager participants to warm, sunny and hot weather. Szoke rode his Raga GasGas300 to perfection as he finished the 4th and final loop of the day scoring 32 points and awarded him the Expert Class victory. His closest competitor, and TDN Italy teammate, Andrew Young, finished with a score of 77 and Will Abel rounded out the podium. “I really wanted a clean loop and was just about there, a rear tire spin and a foot down in the last section took that from me, but all in all I was really happy with the way I rode.” says Szoke. “Trials is such good training for me to prepare to ride our Superbikes, I get out and participate as much as I can.” Watch for Szoke competing at the CMA National Championships Round #1 presented by Steel City Riders in Oshweken ON Canada.
