California State Championship Pre-Entry Deadline Approaching For Opening California State Championship Round with WERA West at Buttonwillow The deadline is fast approaching for pre-entry for the opening round of the California State Championship (CSC) series, scheduled to run with the WERA West round at Buttonwillow Raceway Park on May 8-9. Pre-entries for those racing with a CSC license must be received at the WERA headquarters by midnight Eastern time on Monday, April 26. To follow the action, video coverage of the races and interviews with the participants will be available on the race feed page on the CSC home page: ~http://www.castatechampionship.com~ . In addition, the host race organizations have agreed to honor the CSC Novice licenses, allowing Novices to race in the Novice races at each event of the three-round series. While CSC points will not be awarded to Novices, it is an opportunity to gain valuable track time in a low-pressure environment. VP Racing Fuels is now the official fuel sponsor of the series, which is scheduled to race with WERA West, AFM and WSMC in a three-round shootout to determine the Best In The West. In addition, the CSC will host a six-hour endurance race at Willow Springs on Saturday, September 18. The entry period for the California State Championship Endurance Challenge opens May 10th and closes August 31. Entries are limited to 40 teams, so early applications are encouraged. For rules and entry information, go to the California State Championship website for details.
