As the night is over, the leading trio remains unchanged at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Like Saturday evening, at 9 pm this Sunday after 626 laps, the GSR Kawasaki of Julien da Costa, Grégory Leblanc and Olivier Four is still leading the race with a five laps gap over the Yamaha Austria Racing Team of Igor Jerman, Steve Martin and Gwen Giabbani. The Honda National Motos is holding tight to their third position, with Sébastien Scarnato, Emeric Jonchière and Sylvain Barrier. They are six laps behind YART and they had to deal with a slight front brake problem around 8 am; the bike also took some fire during a refuelling last night! On a very regular pace with Horst Saiger, Roman Stamm and Frédéric Chabosseau, the Kawasaki Bolliger Team Switzerland took the fourth place in the early morning, as the Suzuki from Team 18 Sapeurs Pompiers of Stéphane Molinier, David Brière and Jérôme Tangre stopped to change the chain and wheel sprocket. The Suzuki 18 was then in fourth place since the beginning of the evening. They were in seventh position at 9 am. The RAC 41 City Bike is also in the right pace since the beginning of the race. The Suzuki of Gregory Junod, Greg Black and Olivier Depoorter is also taking advantage from the troubles encountered by Team 18 Sapeurs Pompiers to be in fifth position at 9 am, just ahead of the Yamaha France GMT 94 Ipone. The official Yamaha of David Checa, Gregorio Lavilla and Kenny Foray never managed to take part of a battle on track with the big guns. They have been delayed yesterday as the exhaust collector broke down. The top 10 is completed by the Suzuki RT Moto Virus of Frédéric Jond, Eric Mizera and William Grare, who is doing great since the beginning of the race. They are ahead of a Superstock pack where the Suzuki Motor Events of Vincent Bocquet, Emilien Humeau and Gérard Muteau leads the Suzuki Qatar Endurance Racing Team of Anthony Delhalle, Alex Cudlin and Rashid Al Mannai. The Yamaha Team X-One, which was holding the third Superstock place, just crashed and gave a spot onto the class podium to the Suzuki TRT27 Bazar de la Bécane. Some great challengers had troubles from the beginning of the race and retired, while some others are now at the very end of the pack. The Suzuki Endurance Racing Team retired after they crashed less than 2 hours from the start, as did the Yamaha BK Maco Moto, involved in the same accident. The Honda Michelin Power Research Team had to deal with a crash at the beginning of the race and then a broken engine around midnight. At the moment, the BMW Michelin is last after they had to deal with serious electric problems. In the Superstock class, the Suzuki Junior Team LMS faced an accumulation of small technical problems from the start. A crash in the morning delayed them even more.
