Nelson Ledges, Ohio – Fasttrax, the only Ohio-based motorcycle rider education, track day and racing series provider, has a new name and ownership, Moto Series LLC. The commitment to providing the best in family-oriented motorcycle performance experiences remains the same. Todd Karam of Parma, Ohio, who served as Fasttrax race and operations director for the past two seasons, formed Moto Series LLC to complete the purchase of Fasttrax Motorcycle Performance Inc. from Carol Stanley of Akron and allow for her retirement. Carol and her late husband Bob Stanley founded Fasttrax in 1990 with the intent of creating family-friendly track and racing opportunities for motorcyclists throughout Ohio and neighboring states. “Fasttrax always represented the very best of club racing: fun, family and competition for racers at all levels. Our track day programs were second to none with a strong focus on rider development and safety,” Karam said. “Moto Series intends to continue and build on those traditions.” The Fasttrax name will live on in the competition side of things with the Moto Series Fasttrax Road Race Championship. Moto Series’ home track remains Nelson Ledges, Ohio. Track days and racing events are periodically scheduled at other tracks as well, including Beaver Run Motorsports Complex in Pennsylvania, Putnam Park Road Course in Indiana, and Bluegrass Motorsports Park in Kentucky (upon opening). “As we grow, we anticipate adding venues to provide our racers and track day riders a wider range of opportunities,” Karam said. Moto Series, like Fasttrax, operates as membership organization with riders directly involved in the club’s operations. The all-volunteer staff is composed of current and former racers coming from all walks of life to share their love for riding and their commitment to riders’ safety. Moto Series kicks off its 2010 track days with an evening session at Nelson Ledges on Friday, April 16 and a full-day event on Saturday with the first event in the Fasttrax Road Racing Championship of sprint and endurance racing on Sunday, April 18. Moto Series encourages anyone interested in motorcycling to come out and share our experiences.
