PASCARELLA WINS FONTANA SUPERSPORT, NASH EARNS THIRD FOR LTD RACING

Fontana, CA (March 27, 2010) Joey Pascarella dominated the opening AMA Pro SuperSport race from Fontana, winning by 13.208 seconds and taking his second consecutive SuperSport victory after winning at Daytona earlier this month. LTD Racing teammate Huntley Nash took an excellent third place in the 17-lap race delayed due to wind and red-flagged due to a crash on the start.

Pascarella led all 17 laps and also earned the bonus point for pole position. “I worked on getting a good start after the red flag and worked hard in the early laps,” said Pascarella. “I was out there by myself for the most part but I was concentrating hard to stay sharp and keep doing the best laps possible. I’ve really put in the effort to improve myself and train hard this offseason and it’s good to win again. I’m looking forward to racing tomorrow and I’d like to thank all my sponsors and the team.”

Nash followed his teammate in second place in the early laps, then diced with Scott Gilbert before ceding the position to the local rider late in the race. “We had a good battle out there. I got a good start and maybe used up a lot of my energy trying to stick with Joey,” said Nash. “Scott Gilbert came by me and I was able to stick with him up until the very end. I have some more laps around this place, having never ridden here before yesterday, and I feel good about coming back tomorrow and having a good race.”

Tomorrow’s 17-lap event is scheduled for 2:15 PM local time.
