Turn 2 Introduces Suspension Tuning Course Calablogie ON, — Turn 2 Sportbike School is proud to announce its partnership with Accelerated Technologies to present Canada’s first Suspension Tuning Course – STC1. The course is offered exclusively through Turn 2 at Calabogie Motorsports Park, and will feature in depth classroom sessions on suspension set up and tuning. Lessons will include basic sag settings, damping and bottoming theory, chassis geometry tuning using ride heights and spring rates, with their resulting effects on variables such as weight distribution and swing arm angle. Taught by Accelerated Technologies own John Sharrard, each classroom session will be followed by an on track riding session to test and reinforce each topic discussed. Riders are encouraged to bring and use their own bike for this course, or rent one from Turn 2. Either option will allow you to demystify in the classroom, then feel ‘on track’ the differences between compression damping, rebound damping, ride height and preload helping you to better understand your machine and become a more proficient rider in the process. Classroom sessions will be a mix of instruction and hands on tuning with access to your bike as well as cut-a-ways and demos to aid in understanding the inner workings of your bikes suspension. Contact the Turn 2 Sportbike School or visit www.turn2.ca to reserve your spot now as spaces are limited, classroom size is restricted and the dates are filling up fast. Additional information on the Suspension Tuning Course is available at the Turn 2 Sportbike School Booth at this weekend’s 2010 National Motorcycle Show, March 27 – 28, 2010 – Better Living Centre, Exhibition Place, Toronto.
