Aussie Dave Racing is excited to announce its rider line up for the always anticipated first round of the AMA Superbike championship. Riding the number #25 Aussie Dave Racing Yamaha R6 in the Daytona Sportbike 200 will be 2009 Spanish CEV Supersport Champion Kev Coghlin. In only his second year on a 600 after moving up from 125GP machines Kev comfortably took the title. We were speaking with a number of riders for the Daytona event but when the possibility came up to put Kev on one of our bikes we jumped at the opportunity. With motorcycle racing being such a largely followed sport in Europe and Kev being a champion in one of the major championships in Europe it will bring a large following from international fans which is something the AMA championship has been missing during the past few years. Kev has got a handful of laps under him on the Daytona banking and with both Kev and the team looking forward to the start of the event it should be a great week. Of course Aussie Dave Racing would not be complete without Dave (Aussie Dave) Anthony riding the number #25 Suzuki GSXR 1000 in the American Superbike class. The season was cut short for Dave last year with an injury. When he was forced to withdraw from the championship midseason Dave was the leading privateer in the championship and was sitting 7th in the overall points for the year. Dave took his GSXR to victory in the ASRA Team Challenge event during the CCS/ASRA event at Daytona this past weekend, it was great for Dave to win his first event of the year but he is well aware its next week that counts. Riding the number #269 Aussie Dave Racing Suzuki GSXR 1000 will be long standing AMA racer Johnny Rock Page. It is no secret Johnny was involved in some controversy last year but he is ready to put all that behind him and just wants to have fun racing motorcycles. Rounding out our rider line up is Australians Adrian Schlegel #52 and Trent Gibson #12. Aussie Dave Racing is offering support to these riders doing everything we can to help these riders compete in American Superbike. Three weeks ago we weren’t even going racing and now we have the biggest team in the paddock, its been a grueling task putting everything in place for this event but it was made possible by the support we received from Steve(Kiwi)Vlasblom. Steve is a former racer himself and is the founder of kiwiscare.com and Kiwi Magic Motorsports, we are certainly looking forward to working with Steve this year. Aussie Dave Racing would also like to thank the following; Fly Racing / Race Tech / FMF / Hotbodies / Arai / GPR / EBC Brakes / Liquid Perf / HEL Brake Lines / Spyder Grips / DumondeTech / Kiwi’s Care / Kiwi Magic Motorsports / Temecula Valley Paint / Sticky Biz / Pit Bull / Rk Chains / TCX Boots / Vortex / DynoJet / Pitboxes.com / MotoGP
