CCS Florida President Henry Degouw called Roadracing World today and said that AMA Pro Racing Chief Operating Officer David Atlas frequently raced CCS motorcycle events at Moroso Motorsports Park in the 1990s. Degouw said that the way he remembers it, Atlas won several races and won a Regional Championship with the club. “I used to race there every month. I did 10 years straight of racing Vintage bikes with AHRMA at Daytona,” Atlas confirmed when reached by phone. “I raced a Bridgestone 350 and then John Long built me a TR500 Suzuki. Those were some of the best days of my life. I love motorcycle racing and I still have a lot of trophies.”
