ANY BIKE. ANY MAKE. ANY MOD. BRING IT. RACE IT. M1-Grand Prix (M1GP) – Southern California’s leading road racing motorcycle association for 50cc minis to 549cc supermotos with youth and adult racers, continues with its unique racing class: ROAD WARRIOR. WHAT IS ROAD WARRIOR? Although M1GP offers racing classes for youth riders (including the FREE Terminator racing class for beginner youths), the ROAD WARRIOR is for experienced riders as it combines dirt-bike chassis bikes (Supermoto) with GP chassis bikes in the same racing class. Although this may not be entirely unique in club level racing, M1GP’s ROAD WARRIOR allows for any bike, any make, any mod (modification). So if you have an old Sears mini bike with a lawn mower motor, a GROUP W racer, dual sport, or a factory MotoGP bike and want to just have some good racing, the ROAD WARRIOR class is for you. All bikes must past M1GP’s safety tech. (See site for details) A CALL TO ALL RACERS NOW, YOU’RE OUT OF EXCUSES. If you have an odd motorcycle that just never fit in any race class, and swore if there was just a class for you, you’d be the best thing on two wheels, 2010 is your time and M1GP is the racing association for you. ROAD WARRIOR Racers will be put in to two groups based on their lap-times recorded with transponders. Racers with larger machines may find that the smaller race craft will have the advantage on the very technical circuits M1GP holds its races at (Grange Motor Circuit and Willow Springs Kart Track). This is one of the goals of the RW class – to make riders aware of the advantages of riding (and racing) smaller cc motorcycles for sport and improving skills. Riders shouldn’t discount size of the bikes or the tracks. World-class champion racers, both honed their skills with little risk on smaller bikes and still take advantage of these very tracks. In fact, the Hayden brothers and Max Biagi can be found frequenting these tracks for practice. Nicky Hayden holds the lap record (at Grange Motor Circuit). Here’s a list of manufacturers who make bikes for a variety of classes at M1GP (listed in alphabetical order). Aprilia ATK Beta Bimota BMW BSA Buell Bultaco Derbi Ducati GasGas Harley Davidson Honda HRC Husaberg Husqvarna Hyosung Kawasaki KTM Metrakit Moriwaki Moto Guzzi MV Agusta Polini Suzuki Triumph Yamaha If you’re up to the challenge, please visit: ~http://m1-grandprix.com~ for the complete rules, 2010 schedule and to register online.
