MRA Announces Expanded Purse and Launch of New Street Racer Class In a sea of declining contingency reports, the MRA announces the expansion of its premier class purse in Race of the Rockies. For years it’s been one of the largest club level purses in the country, new for 2010 the purse will pay back to 20th. ROR is now open to all displacement bikes and sizeable grids are expected. Qualifying is another exciting addition to Race of the Rockies, bringing the fans more action and increased attendance from visiting race teams. Also new for 2010, the MRA has unveiled its much anticipated SuperStreet class. Conceived for the large community of Colorado track day riders, SuperStreet lowers the barrier between track rider and racer. The class is open to non-race licensed riders with a track day level of prep on their street bikes. For only $100 the SuperStreet racer will receive classroom training, on track instruction and a race. After two SuperStreet races the rider is eligible to petition MRA New Rider Director Mark Schellinger for a novice license. In association with the new class, the MRA is providing its partner dealerships exclusive promotions for their select customer base. MRA President Tony Baker spoke about the new programs, “In these tough economic times the MRA is responding to the need to make road racing more viable for our members and sponsors. Our membership has been working diligently to ensure a successful 2010 season and I’m very proud of what we’ve accomplished.” To find out more about these programs contact MRA President Tony Baker at [email protected] call the MRA hotline 303-530-5678 or visit ~http://www.mra-racing.org/~
