Last 9th and 10th December in Spain and more precisely in Valencia, the AT02, the motorcycle by ADV, made its debut. The vehicle will race the MotoGP Moto 2 with the Team WTR S. Marino and it firstly appeared on track on 9th December then again on 10th for further improvement testings that are necessary in these cases. The bike raced 60 laps on Wednesday and 65 laps on Thursday equal to more than 500 Km, without any particular problems while the technicians were focused on finding the best setting in order to challenge the track in the best way. A meaningful palmarès and a timing of 1’39″4 obtained by the testing rider of ADV, Alessandro Brannetti who is expected to do a great job with this new GP motorcycle. Everybody knows that experience on track is fundamental to settle the vehicle at its best and this is why, there are even teams that have been setting their bikes for a year in order to find the most suitable settlement. Yet, only teams really know the condition of the engine and electronic setting after testing. The AT02 raced at 15.800 rpm autolimited engine and with MotoGP setting with a Honda/2D combined electronics, exhaust with regular silencer at 115 decibel at 5.500 rpm, airbox and suitable equipment according to MotoGP regulations. Moreover, in this first test some parts of the bike had the aim to underline the behaviour on track in order to let engineers to study the best solutions, and therefore they were not the finished parts, as for example the fairing and the ergonomic position of the rider. Good behaviour came from the whole cooling system of the engine, Taleo that never exceeded 80° with a shutter on the radiator of at least two stripes of tapes. Also the MIVV exhaust was excellent, as the FrenTubo carbon fiber pipes that perfectly conveyed the brake oil from the pump to the calipsers. In its whole AT02 demonstrated to be reliable and fulfilled the expectations of ADV as regards this first test, and also demonstrated that the technologies used in collaboration with CRP Technology have been meaningful.
