A recent test at the Cartagena circuit in Eastern Spain was deemed a success by the Kawasaki Provec Motocard.com team, as it allowed riders Joan Lascorz and Katsuaki Fujiwara to make real progress. The test concentrated on the latest engine specification of the Ninja ZX-6R, and the overall set-up of the 2010 machine. To find common ground and to speed up development of the bike as a whole, the two riders shared one single machine at the tests. Lascorz, winner of the Magny-Cours World Supersport race in October, spent most time on the machine on the opening day, Fujiwara spending most time on it on day two. Lascorz used the last 30 minutes of the final day to go for a fast time, setting a 1’35.3 lap at the end, while Fujiwara did not go for a single fast lap, but concentrated only on testing various set-up solutions for full race conditions. The next test for the team will be on 16, 17 and 18 December, at the Almeria circuit in Spain.
