15th Annual Bruce Rossmeyer’s Daytona Harley-Davidson Ride For Children Happening This Weekend In Florida

BRUCE ROSSMEYER’S DAYTONA HARLEY-DAVIDSON HOSTS 15TH ANNUAL RIDE FOR CHILDREN Additional Riders Welcome at Saturday Pre-Event Party and Sunday Trip to Camp Boggy Creek ORMOND BEACH, Fla. It’s not too late to get in on this weekend’s 15th annual Bruce Rossmeyer’s Daytona Harley-Davidson Ride for Children to benefit Camp Boggy Creek, hosted October 11, 2009. The ride leaves at 10 a.m. sharp on Sunday, October 11, 2009 from Destination Daytona at U.S. 1 and I-95 in Ormond Beach for Camp Boggy Creek in Eustis. All registered riders can pick up credentials and new riders can register from 3 to 8 p.m. Saturday at a Pre-Ride Party and until 9:30 on the morning of the ride at Destination Daytona. “Regular” rider registration costs $50, and a “VIP rider package” is $200. Bruce Rossmeyer’s Daytona Harley-Davidson and Destination Daytona are hosts for the party and “Celebration of Bruce” from 3 to 10 p.m., Saturday. The celebration is open to the general public as well as all riders and their guests. The evening will be centered at Saints & Sinners Pub on the grounds of Destination Daytona and will honor the life of Boggy Creek Camp founder Bruce Rossmeyer and all he did for Florida’s seriously ill children. Rossmeyer, who was the builder and owner of Destination Daytona, died in a July motorcycle accident in Wyoming. His sprawling Ormond Beach facility is the home of the biggest Harley-Davidson dealership in Florida, and he owned 12 other Harley dealerships throughout the U.S. Through the Ride for Children since 1995, he raised $3.8 million for the camp. Daytona Pig Stand will serve complimentary food and beverages to registered VIP riders from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday in the VIP tent next to Saints & Sinners.
