Sanity wins no more races in 2009 Hoping that he can possibly stage his comeback in Magny Cours Max went to Imola last weekend. On Saturday Max underwent another checkup of his back in the Clinica mobile with the result that it is too dangerous to ride at the last races in Magny Cours and Portimao. Due to these two heavy injuries in this season the body needs a longer rehabilitation time. Now Max is working straight towards his return at the Portimao test and according to the statement of the attending doctors nothing should be in the way. There Max will have the possibility to test the completely revised Suzuki GSX-R 1000. The Suzuki engineers from Japan and the Alstare engineers are working quite intensely on the bike for the season 2010. Max: “Of course I am very disappointed. I really wanted to step in again on the race events this season, this would have been very important for me. Even now where we are already about to sort out a lot at the bike for the next year. Logically the doctors don’t want to take any risk. Of course I can understand this and finally it’s all about my health. The healing process is going well and I feel better from day to day!”
