NEW YORK, Sept. 17, 2009 The dramatic experience of an adrenaline-charged motorcycle ride will be coming to the 26×3 gallery in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Stop/Action will suspend 12 exotic Italian motorcycles””11 Aprilia RSV 1000Rs and one Aprilia RSV4″”in a three-dimensional ribbon running throughout the space, reminiscent of stills taken from a high speed film reel. Stop/Action presented by Hell for Leather magazine will be open to the public daily Oct. 2-11, 2009 from 2-7 p.m. at 26 Broadway, Brooklyn, New York. “The experience of riding a fast motorcycle to the limits of its and your ability defines the soul of a biker. We hope to convey that in a visual, three-dimensional way, allowing the audience to interact with and examine its meaning, motivation and ramification,” says Sam Strauss-Malcolm who, along with Tyler Poniatowski, is one of two artists behind the installation. “In the record books, on the track, on the street or in this case in the air, Aprilia motorcycles embody the spirit and passion of competition,” said Paolo Timoni, President and CEO of Piaggio Group Americas. “Harnessing the RSV4 and RSV 1000R’s performance DNA in this unique environment will truly be a powerful experience.” Piaggio would like to thank Aprilia Brooklyn and Aprilia Potamkin Manhattan for their participation in this project. Stop/Action is sponsored by Aprilia USA (www.apriliausa.com) and Alpinestars (www.alpinestars.com.) For more information, please visit www.hellforleathermagazine.com.
