It’s ALL about the Kids… Ethan Gillim’s “Chasin A Dream” experienced what the entire program was set up to do at the MotoGP races in Indianapolis Aug 29th, 2009. The charter for the program was to fulfill Ethan’s “dream” of helping other kids do what he did, “Race and have fun like we do.. and be safe too.” That weekend, after Saturday’s activities on the track, 12-year-old Peter Lenz, of Washington, took the opportunity to donate some of the money that he and his family received after a very bad wreck he experienced several weeks ago. The Lenz family wanted to help provide other young racers with the safety gear that he and his family feel saved his life. Ethan Gillim’s “Chasin A Dream” Program is a 501 (3C) non profit organization that accepts donations that are then used to provide Safe T Impact Armor to young racers across the country, as well as help them attend American Super Camp, so that Ethan’s dream of helping other young racers could be fulfilled. This year the program teamed with the USGRPU and Impact Safe T Armor to insure that all the young racers racing in that series were full protected. Attending the special ceremony was professional racer Colin Edwards, who uses Impact Safe T Armor, 12-year-old Peter Lenz, and founding family members Suzy Hayden and Earl Hayden. Thank you Michael Braxton of Impact Safe T Armor, Danny Walker of American Super Camp and of course, all those that support this worthy cause…Ethan’s Dream. All the members of the “Chasin A Dream” program and the Gillim family say…”It’s all about the kids!” And it was a real joy to shake Peter’s hand and see that our vision and goals have been met in a big way. We look forward to seeing young Peter back on the race track in the near future! Suzy Hayden President Ethan Gillim’s “Chasin A Dream” Program [email protected] www.ethansdream.com
