Kyle Keesee (Kaw ZX-6R), 1:30.387 More, from a press release issued by LTD Racing: LTD RACING TEENS QUALIFY IN NEW JERSEY Millville, New Jersey (September 5, 2009) All three LTD Racing competitors qualified for the AMA Pro Supersport race at New Jersey Motorsports Park on Saturday. Tomas Puerta was seventh, followed by teammates Jake Gagne and Huntley Nash in eighth and ninth. Puerta’s best time in qualifying was 1:26.050. “We’re in the second row, which is good. Qualifying was okay. I didn’t want to push too hard as to crash,” said the Colombian. “I wanted to set a fast time but we’re still going to try some changes in the warm-up and see what happens in the race. The quickest riders are really fast so we’ll have to push.” Gagne was directly behind Tomy in eight with a time of 1:26.885. “We had some different bike setup things to try and I was trying to get up to speed and try some different lines,” said the Californian. “I qualified on the second row and that’s all right but but I need to get my lap times down for the race. We have a couple more things to try in the morning, some different things with the suspension that might help. It’s been a lot of fun racing here this weekend but getting a good result would make it even better.” Huntley Nash had a challenging day, with two races and SuperSport qualifying. The Georgian had some bad luck in his races but has been picking up speed all weekend. “It’s been a learning weekend for me and we’ve made some good progress for sure. The team has worked hard on my bike and really changed a lot of things here at New Jersey,” said Huntley. “I was nervous about SportBike because I was starting the race in 30-something place but I moved up to 18th place. Someone hit me going into turn one and the bike started having problems. The tail section was gone and the electronics went nuts. We were pretty much done after getting hit so I parked it. Something like that is out of our control so we can’t get too upset over it. In Moto-GT, I was leading by about 30 seconds but someone blew up their motor in front of me and I crashed in the oil. In SuperSport, we picked up some things and we should be pretty good for tomorrow.”
