SEPTEMBER, SEPTEMBER, SEPTEMBER FOR WERA The month starts off with two Pirelli/ WERA Sportsman Series events on the Labor Day weekend, September 5/6, at BeaveRun MotorSports ComPlex in Wampum, PA and at Jennings GP in Jennings, FL. Then on the September 11/12/13 weekend Round #8 of the Bridgestone/WERA National Endurance Series, the Michelin/WERA National Challenge Sprints and the Pirelli/WERA Sportsman Mid-Central Series invades Barber Motorsports Park in Leeds, AL. Summit Point in Summit Point, West Virginia is the next stop for the Pirelli/WERA Sportsman Series on September 19/20 and then September finishes with the Pirelli/WERA Sportsman Series at Nashville Superspeedway in Lebanon, Tennessee and Nelson Ledges Roadcourse in Warren, Ohio on the 26th and 27th. The Pirelli/WERA Sportsman event originally scheduled for WERA West at Chuckwalla Raceway was cancelled due to construction not being completed at the facility. This race will not be rescheduled for 2009, but the final WERA West Pirelli/WERA Sportsman Series event at Las Vegas Motorspeedway scheduled for October 30/31 and November 1, 2009 will be double points for the WERA West Region. Remember WERA has practice on Friday prior to Vegas events. Invitations for this year’s WERA Grand National Finals will be going out mid-September.
