Yamaha factory AMA American Superbike rider Ben Bostrom will finish the 2009 season with a new Crew Chief, starting this weekend at Mid-Ohio. “I’m taking over the Crew Chief responsibility on Ben’s side of the team,” Team Manager Tom Halverson told Roadracingworld.com Friday morning at Mid-Ohio. Halverson said he didn’t want to “go into too many details” about the team changes but said Bostrom’s former Crew Chief, Jefferson Burks, has been re-assigned to “focus on other things back at the shop.” The Crew Chief change isn’t the only adjustment to the Yamaha team set-up, however. According to Halverson, each rider will now have a suspension technician dedicated to them instead of sharing one technician. Chris Lessing will work with Bostrom, and Jun Suganuma will work with Bostrom’s teammate Josh Hayes. “Hopefully, it will be better for both guys,” said Halverson.
