Winter Garden, Florida (July 9, 2009) — American PJ Jacobsen who calls Spain his second home arrived two weeks ago in preparations for round three. The CEV Buckler Motorcycle Championship event takes place at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit in Cheste, Valencia on 11-12 July 2009. This event is scheduled twice on the series; first in July then again in November. Jacobsen is familiar with this stop as he raced on it last year for a couple of rounds. To ready himself for the event, he has been training and testing for the past two weeks at said track matching his skill set with bike set-ups. The CEV Championships have been a great series for PJ. He is racing against other top notch competitors, learning new tracks and setting fast times. However a few mishaps on bike set ups, and wipe outs have downgraded his finishes. “The Valencia round means a lot to me. It’s a track I like and feel comfortable on. I have had some much needed seat time on this track so I feel that the other racers don’t have the edge on this track over the others,” explains Jacobsen. “This experience is like no other, the language barrier is getting better, and Aspar has been great in allowing changes to the bike that make me more comfortable. I am truly blessed by all of this. I have pushed the past races out of my head and am determined for pole and podium on Sunday,” adds Jacobsen After this event , Jacobsen will return back home in New York to train with AMA Grand National Flat Track Champion Kenny Coolbeth, race local events and celebrate his 16th birthday before heading back to Albacete for round four in the series.
