DUCATI OMAHA TO ACQUIRE TRACKADDIX TRACK DAY OPERATION Ducati Omaha, a full-service Ducati motorcycle dealership located in Omaha, Nebraska, has announced the pending acquisition of TrackAddix, Inc., a premier provider of motorcycle track days in the Midwest region. TrackAddix has operated track days since 2003 at race tracks throughout the Midwest region. The parties intend to jointly operate TrackAddix events at Mid America Motorplex and Motorsport Park Hastings currently on the 2009 TrackAddix track day schedule, with no changes to the planned events. The TrackAddix events scheduled for the remainder of the year at Brainerd International Raceway will be cancelled. The entire TrackAddix operation will be taken over by Ducati Omaha at the conclusion of the 2009 season, and Ducati Omaha intends to operate a full schedule of track day events under the TrackAddix banner in 2010 at Mid-America Motorplex and Motorsport Park Hastings. Ducati Omaha President and General Manager, Jarel Jensen, said “We are very excited to get more involved in the regional track day market, and continue the growth of the track day sport in our area. Our dealership has been heavily involved in promoting track days since we opened our doors in 2006 and we plan to continue that involvement in a more formal way with the acquisition of the TrackAddix operation. We think this will be a great fit, and allow us to provide more track-related events and opportunities for our customers to enjoy the track day experience at our two great local race tracks. We know from our own experience that there is no better way to enjoy a sportbike than attending a track day, and we plan to make that experience accessible for everyone in our area!” Ducati Omaha has co-promoted several track day events with TrackAddix in the past, including the Ducati Revs Mid-America event, an annual Ducati track festival at Mid-America Motorplex for the past three years. Dean Rumfola, owner of TrackAddix, said “We are very proud of what we have created with TrackAddix over the past years. However, my family and I have made many sacrifices and it has been difficult for us to operate a business of this type while living so far out of region. We have decided to change the direction of our lives to focus on our family, friends, and activities closer to our home in Colorado. We have enjoyed a close relationship with Ducati Omaha for many years and cannot think of a better suitor for the business. We are pleased and enthusiastic about handing the TrackAddix ‘reins’ over to the Ducati Omaha group and are confident in their ability to grow the operation and provide riders with the same level of safety and support they have come to expect from TrackAddix.” Ducati Omaha will begin jointly operating the TrackAddix events starting with the July 18th/19th track day weekend at Motorsport Park Hastings, in Hastings, Nebraska.
