(Sioux City, IA) June 17, 2009. Northwest Iowa Based Lithium Motorsports Roadracing team is heading into the second round of competition with the Central Roadracing Association (CRA) at Brainerd International Raceway in Brainerd, MN. After the first round of competition two team members currently find themselves leading the overall points chase in their respective classes. Rob Oliva is currently leading the Expert overall points championship by ten points over local favorite Rob Jensen. Scott Stall, in his debut racing year, is holding a commanding lead of 41 points over Sean Kreller for the Novice overall points championship. The CRA is traditionally a one track club, racing exclusively at Brainerd International Raceway (BIR) in Brainerd, MN. Known for having the fastest first turn in North America, the racing is always fast and exciting as riders rocket through turn one in excess of 165 mph. BIR has now added a second, shorter course configuration to their facility which will be used for this weekend’s races. Expert racer Rob Oliva commented on the new configuration, “I believe the short course can be a benefit to myself and our other team members. We travel to tracks throughout the United States, which gives us a leg up when it comes to picking up new tracks compared to racers that are used to racing in the same place.” Although the short configuration excludes the mile long front straight, the back half of the original course is still used with this layout, keeping some familiarization with some of the more technical parts of the track. Lithium Motorsports is proud to be partnered with Pirelli tires, Parts Unlimited/SBS brake pads, Silkolene, Woodcraft, Pit Bull, Alpinestars, Spyder Leatherworks, Trackdaymag.com, NESBA, Midwest Honda/Suzuki, Rooster’s Harley Davidson-Buell
