Everything is ready for the sixth MotoGP World Championship round where in Barcelona, Spain, it will host the Grand Prix of Cataluña. Inaugurate in 1992, year of Olympics games hosted by the city of Barcelona, the track is 4247 meters long and is ridden clockwise direction with eight rights turns and five left turns. Niccolò Canepa, Pramac Racing rider, is determined to confirm the performances registered last year where in only one day of testing he obtained really interesting lap times. The Italian rider really appreciated the Catalan circuit and wants to conquer more world championship points to climb the classification. His teammate, Mika Kallio, has made it conquer on this track the sixth position in 2007 in the 250cc class, while his best result in 125cc class at Cataluña was the third place in 2005. The race will start at 2pm local time on Sunday June 14th. Fabiano Sterlacchini – Pramac Racing Technical Director “In Barcelona we will have at our disposal, in addition to the carbon fiber swing arm, more technical development already tested at Mugello. On Friday, together with our riders, we will understand if it will be worth it to try them as the priority in a racing weekend is to look for the fastest lap time and with the short time at our disposal it will not be easy to test everything. We will have instead more time on the Monday during the test. Between the principal changes some electronic updates after the suggestions given to us by our riders: this should give us important riding benefits. It should allow them to find the right feeling with the bike since the first laps.” Niccolò Canepa – Pramac Racing Team rider “Last year I was in Barcelona for the first time for a one day test and I found my self at ease straight away. I have registered interesting lap times with the GP9 finding a good base set up. If we will make it to find the same balance of the bike I am sure that we will be able to have another good weekend. At Mugello I have done a nice race and I hope to repeat constantly during the season.” Mika Kallio – Pramac Racing Team rider “In Barcelona I achieved a good result only once, with the third position in 2005 in the 125cc class, but who knows, hopefully things will get better in the MotoGP class. In the last races we have been really unlucky, we have to go back working like in the first two races and I am sure that in this way we will be able to fight again with the best riders. I am trustful, I have all I need to do well, a great bike and a great Team.”
