Ryan Conrad (Yam YZF-R6), 2:39.472 More, from a press release issued by LTD Racing: LTD RACING’S HUNTLEY NASH FOURTH IN ROAD AMERICA PRACTICE Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin (June 5, 2009): It was a solid day for LTD Racing at Road America, with Huntley Nash fourth quickest in the afternoon’s practice. Tomas Puerta was sixth quickest, and Bryce Prince was seventh as they prepare for tomorrow’s qualifying at the 4.0-mile circuit. For Nash, his hopes for a follow up to the Birmingham podium performance remain bright. He was ranked as high as third on the timing charts before ending up with fourth. “I had a little trouble in the first session, and the mechanics made some changes. Most of this track is on the gas, rolling through corners. We changed a few things and we nailed it in the right direction. The mechanics did a great job for me.” While one of the most beautiful tracks in the US, Road America is difficult to master. “It’s a tough track to learn because there are so many corners and it’s four miles around, so you end up seeing the corner again two and a half minutes later. You have to really concentrate learning the track,” said Huntley. “The goal is to go out tomorrow and qualify on the front row and make it a little easier for the race.” Puerta, in his second ride since joining the team, was sixth quickest but ready for further improvements. “We’re doing well but I am not yet fully happy with our settings,” said Puerta. “We will make another change to our bike for tomorrow. We feel good about our chances in the race and it should be fun. I’m trying to go fast and not feeling perfect yet.” Prince improved from 16th in the morning to seventh in the afternoon in his first day on the LTD Racing Yamaha as he replaces the injured Joey Pascarella this weekend.. “I’m glad the team asked me to ride for Joey this weekend. It’s too bad he was injured but I’ll do my best to get the best result we can on his bike. I like the bike a lot and I can tell this is a good program and a good team,” said Prince. “I finished fourth and fifth last time and was going to have to miss this race because of finances, so I hope to make the most of the opportunity and get it on the box. It’s good fun to race your friends and it seems to feel better to compete with, and sometimes beat, your friends.”
