AMA SuperSport East points leader Joey Pascarella will miss the Road America race with a left arm injury. LTD Racing’s Pascarella had surgery after dislocating his radius and ulna in a recent training accident.

“The doctor said, ‘No way’. I really wanted to race, but it’s important to get healthy,” said Pascarella. “I should be ready for Laguna. That’s my goal, anyway. I’m really disappointed to be out but at least Bryce (Prince) will get to ride the bike for the team.”

With Pascarella out, Bryce Prince will ride Joey’s LTD Racing Yamaha R6. Prince, from Bakersfield, California, is currently 5th in SuperSport West points. Since Road America is a combined round, his weekend tally will help him in that championship.

“It’s disappointing that Joey can’t race this weekend,” said LTD Racing crew chief Jason Parker. “He really wanted to be out there and defending his points lead but it is a long season and we’ll see what happens. Bryce is a good guy and a fast rider and we’ll get to know him better this weekend.”
