Melbourne, FL. – GP Moto Services announced today that AMA Supersport rider Reese Wacker will be contesting the AMA Daytona Sportbike class, likely starting with the race at Mid-Ohio in July. Reese will be running the number 78 in both the AMA Supersport and Daytona Sportbike classes. Competing in both WERA and CCS last year, the then 18-year-old proved his talent accumulating five National Championships, including four titles in the CCS 25th Annual Race of Champions held at Daytona, and another title at the WERA Grand National Finals held at Road Atlanta. In addition, he captured four CCS Southeast Regional Championships. Wacker grew up on motorcycles, racing his first motocross race by the age of nine. After competing at National Motocross venues until 2007, he made the successful switch to road racing. It did not take long for Wacker to showcase his natural riding skill in the roadracing arena as well. “Reese has amazing talent for the sport,” said Jamie Pienaar, co-owner of GP Moto Services , “Reese keeps challenging and proving himself with each new level. I have every confidence he will do the same in the AMA Daytona Sportbike class as well. ” “I can’t wait to race in the Daytona Sportbike class at Mid-Ohio,” said Wacker. ” GP Moto Services has built a great bike for me to ride with the Suzuki GSXR600. It will be a great season.”
