Roger Lyle’s Motorcycle Xcitement Track Days and Road Racing School is proud to announce that we are hosting a unique track day on Wednesday, May 20, open to all racers and riders at the legendary Summit Point Raceway in West Virginia with some special guests and motorcycles. Friendly instructors and control riders will help you improve your riding skills while having a fun filled day of high speed thrills on your motorcycle ! Duc Pond Motorsports of Winchester, Virginia and their MAD riders, the Mid-Atlantic Ducati riders club will carve the ten turns and two miles of this classic road racing circuit. Duc Pond Motorsports has arranged for the Ducati factory tractor trailer to be on display and filled with all the new Ducati motorcycles for demo rides. We are also excited to announce that BMW champion racer and good guy Nate Kern will be at Summit Point Raceway with the new BMW S1000 RR street bike that was just unveiled at the world superbike race in Monza, Italy. This is the first showing in America for this new 193 horsepower, 450 pound (wet) BMW superbike with traction control and ABS ! Nate will be answering questions and signing autographs while he is tuning up at the Motorcycle Xcitement Track Day for the upcoming ASRA/CCS races that following weekend. Go to www.MotorcycleXcitement.com for registration and more details or call Roger Lyle at 301-933-2599. Ride fast, ride safe, ride with us ! More, from an e-mail from Nate Kern: FIRST PERSON/OPINION: I would like to comment on the recent press release by Roger Lyle’s Motorcycle Xcitement Track Days And Racing School. The new BMW S1000RR will NOT be present at this track event. In fact, they bike will not yet be in the country and therefore will be unavailable for display. I apologize for the misinformation given in this post, but it was not confirmed with me before being submitted. I wish Roger Lyle a safe and successful day at Summit Point. More, from another press release issued by Roger Lyle’s Motorcycle Xcitement Track Days And Racing Schools: My sincere apologies to Nate Kern and BMW Motorcycles of America, and anyone else who read this post. The new BMW S1000 RR will NOT be at Summit Point Raceway on May 20. The BMW S1000 RR will be introduced to the American public at Miller Motorsports Park on May 30 at the US round of FIM World Superbike. Stay tuned for the official press release from BMW Motorcycles of America as to when and where the new bike will be on its tour of American dealerships, track days, races and shows, with east coast ambassador Nate Kern and west coast ambassador Jason Turner.
