Teammates Joey Pascarella (fifth place) and and Tomas Puerta (seventh) also finished inside the top ten for LTD Racing. The event was delayed several times as a tornado moved through the area, but the race began in dark, wet conditions. Nash started from the third row on his Yamaha R6, but quickly chargedtowards the front in the chaotic early laps. “I got a good start and was able to move up some positions,” said Nash. “It was tough out there and when the tires were cold, there was not much grip. The race was really hectic for me, because when I got up to fourth place because I knew a podium spot was on the line. But I had a great time out there and it was a fantastic race for me. I’d like to thank the team for working so hard this weekend.” Pascarella remains the points leader after earning another top five finish. He now leads 62 to 49 over Leandro Mercado. “Once I got comfortable about six laps into it, I picked up the pace quite a bit,” said Joey. “The conditions were tough and I just wanted to make sure I kept the points lead because that’s the ultimate goal, to win the championship. I’d like to congratulate Huntley for the podium finish because I know he’s been working really hard to get it.” The team’s newest rider Tomas Puerta took a very respectable seventh place. “I had a problem with my footpeg with about four laps to go,” said the Colombian. “I couldn’t push harder so I just made sure I finished,” said Puerta.
