Touring Sport Ducshop Ducati heads to Barber this weekend to defend their championship lead in the SunTrust Moto-GT2 endurance championship. Frank Shockley and Dane Westby will race the Ducshop built PS1000LE #77 bike while Pete Friedland and Brad Phillips will race the team’s identical #38 bike. Finishing first and fifth respectively at the last round at Road Atlanta the team goes into the third round at Barber with a four point advantage over the Pair-A-Nine Kawasaki team. The #38 bike currently stands in eighth place in the championship. The team is optimistic of good results at the Barber round with the inclusion of Dane Westby who is standing in for Ryan Elleby as he recovers from surgery. Ducshop’s eBay charity auction for the Roadracing World Action Fund will end this evening (Tuesday April 28) at 6pm pacific time.
