Round Four of the Road Race Southwest/CCS Championship moves to the Firebird International Raceway’s East Course (www.firebirdraceway.com) April 18-19. There will be practice day/track day on Saturday, April 18 and racing on Sunday, April 19. Kawasaki and Suzuki manufacturer contingency money will be available during Sunday’s races, so a large turnout of local and regional talent is expected to compete for the money. Look for current series points leader Rick Bucher to try to continue his perfect season of first-place finishes. Expect series regulars David Siminski, Joshua Mosley and Danny Demel to try to keep Rick from the top step. In addition to the full plate of RRSW/CCS races, RRSW will be hosting Round Two of the USGPRU West Coast Championship, which will include the new F-450 class. Melissa Paris is expected to be in attendance along with all the USGPRU regulars. RRSW will hold dedicated races just for USGPRU. Expect some exciting racing between the USGPRU racers and the local lightweight racers, as the 250cc/125cc GP bikes give the lightweight racers a run for their money. Tickets are only $10, with discount coupons available at select motorcycle establishments in the Phoenix area. Come out and see the southwest regional racing talent at Road Race Southwest.
