Darrell Prantera (Yam YZF-R6), 1:46.341 More, from a press release issued by LTD Racing: LTD RACING RIDERS LEAD MORNING SESSION AT ROAD ATLANTA Braselton, GA (April, 3, 2009) — Joey Pascarella and Huntley Nash were quickest in the damp morning session at Road Atlanta on Friday in the AMA Pro SuperSport practice. The 16-year-old racers followed up their 1-2 in the morning practice with fifth place (Pascarella) and ninth (Nash) in the afternoon session. With the 2.55-mile circuit damp, but drying, during the first session of the day, the LTD Racing Yamahas led the pace, with Pascarella and Nash almost three seconds in front of their closest competitors. Joey was relieved that a wrist injury suffered from crashing his Troy Lee Designs Supermoto bike at Fontana did not yield him troubles on day one at Road Atlanta. “It was a little sore at the end of the session, but the main thing is my arm was not slowing me down out there today and I am relived about that,” said Pascarella, from Vacaville, California. “We started the weekend with our Daytona suspension setup so obviously we have room for improvement in overall lap times but we had a solid day. ” His best time was a lap of 1:34.961. Nash, from Marietta, Georgia, posted a 1:36.932 in the afternoon. “For sure, this is a big race for me because it’s my home race. I’ll have more people here to watch me and that makes me want to do as well as I possibly can. I guess you could say it is the most important race of the year for me. Today we concentrated on getting some laps in. Now we’re going to make some adjustments to the suspension and go for it in qualifying tomorrow.”
