LTD Racing’s Joey Pascarella topped the AMA Pro SuperSport practice Friday morning at Road Atlanta. Riding a Yamaha YZF-R6, the former Red Bull Rookies Cup competitor lapped the damp 2.52-mile road course in 1:41.223. Pascarella’s teammate Huntley Nash, another former Red Bull Rookie, was second-fastest in the session with a 1:42.706. AMA Pro Racing is utilizing the same course layout as it used during last year’s event at Road Atlanta, including the classic Turn Four and the new Turn 12. According to The Weather Channel, the weather forecast is for cool but dry conditions Friday and Saturday and a 30% chance of isolated thunderstorms on Sunday.
