Friday Night Fan Party Will Feature Racing Stars At Road Atlanta

FAN ACTIVITIES AT ROAD ATLANTA ADD EXCITEMENT TO AMA SUZUKI SUPERBIKE SHOWDOWN Fan Party, Stunt Shows, Vendor Village and Parade Laps Highlight Weekend Festivities Single Day Gate Tickets Discounted 20% Off Last Year’s Prices BRASELTON, GA, March 31st, 2009 The AMA Suzuki Superbike Showdown at Road Atlanta this weekend promises plenty of excitement both on and off the track. Single day tickets purchased at the gate are discounted 20% off last year’s prices, and kids under 12 get in free! A Fan Party will be held Friday night, April 3rd from 5:00pm 9:00pm at Cycle Nation in Braselton, GA (just five minutes from the track on Highway 53). Admission is FREE. Fans can meet riders including Geoff May, Aaron Yates, Blake Young, Kevin Schwantz, Larry Pegram, Ben Bostrom and Josh Hayes. There will be live music, food will be served and there will be plenty of giveaways. Yamaha riders will be available for autographs from 6:00pm 7:00pm and Suzuki riders from 7:00pm 8:00pm. At the track on Saturday and Sunday, fans can enjoy Stunt Shows from Anger Management (AM) Streetbike Freestyle featuring Rodney Sargent, Aaron Twite and Josh Borne. AM Freestyle started as a group of friends riding motorcycles through the streets of Atlanta, doing wheelies and various acrobatics. Honing their skills that were deemed unsafe for public roadways, they began riding in closed courses and competing on the up and coming stunt competition circuit. The main stunt shows will be Saturday and Sunday from 11:15am 12:00pm located on the front stretch and also in turn 5 (“The Esses”). Additional shows will be in throughout the weekend in Vendor Village. Race fans can also check out the Xtreme Wheelie Ride Machine in Vendor Village. The machine is equipped with a sport bike attached to a specifically designed braking system that allows you to pull wheelies in a safe environment. The Wheelie machine is located in Vendor Village, along with many other motorcycle related vendors, displays and exhibits. On track Parade Laps for fans will be offered on Saturday and Sunday at 11:30 am. Tickets for parade laps can be bought online (www.roadatlanta.com) or at the track. AMA Pro Racing is also offering an Open Grid where fans can get up close to their favorite riders and bikes, right before the race starts. On Saturday, American Superbike open grid is at 12:15pm. On Sunday, Daytona Sportbike open grid is at 12:15pm. Fans must have Paddock Access passes, available for purchase at the track, in order to participate.
