TEAM ESP/ VENEMOTOS YAMAHA READY FOR FONTANA March 18, 2009 (Reno, NV)”” Team ESP/ Venemotos Yamaha is confident heading to the Fontana round of the AMA Road Racing Championship. After Daytona, the team headed back to the Tucson, Arizona shop to freshen up motors, rebuild suspension, and recharge the individual team member batteries after the grueling Daytona 200 event. The Fontana round will see the team focus on Daytona Sportbike, with their Supersport rider, Josh Day, waiting for the series to return to the East Coast. Both ESP/ Venemotos Daytona Sportbike riders have been able to stay sharp riding a variety of machinery. Damian Cudlin is back in the US after a successful pre-season test with the Phase One Endurance team on their brand new Yamaha R1. Robertino Pietri is fresh off a successful CCS race weekend at Palm Beach International Raceway where he took first place on a Prieto Performance machine in the Unlimited GP. Damian and Robertino are looking at carrying this momentum into the Fontana AMA weekend. Robertino Pietri: “I’m ready for Fontana. I’m healthy and I enjoy working with the ESP/ Venemotos team. Last year at Fontana, I had a good race and ran up front. I like the track and the ESP/ Venemotos R6 is really good and I enjoy riding it. When I’m relaxed and having fun it’s easy to go fast.” Damian Cudlin: “I’m ready to get the bad luck of Daytona behind me. I just got back from testing in Spain, and I’m ready to go. I came here to the AMA Championship to prove what I can do, and that starts this weekend. The ESP/ Venemotos Yamaha R6 is a capable machine. Now, I just need to go out and learn the track and get in amongst the fast AMA regulars, and show the AMA paddock what I can do. “ For Sponsorship inquiries contact Syndicate Motorsport Management, LLC: (+1) 831 464 3458 or email: [email protected] Team ESP/ Venemotos Yamaha: Evan Steel Performance is a small, personal, specialized shop located in Tucson, Arizona that deals with all aspects of motorcycle road racing.
