The HANNspree Ten Kate Honda team has announced that it will be racing with Hotbodies bodywork and screens for the 2009 World Superbike and Supersport championship season. Based in Poway, California, Hotbodies Racing manufactures the lightest racing bodywork available, with a four-harness fibreglass weave for increased durability. It features reinforced mounting seams and leading edges and is ultra-flexible for easy installation. The team is part of the wider Ten Kate Motoren company in The Netherlands, running the country’s largest Honda motorcycle dealership as well as building and preparing racing machinery for many teams and individual riders. “We’re really happy to have reached this agreement with Hotbodies Racing on both the sporting and business side of Ten Kate’s operations,” said race team manager, Ronald ten Kate. “Hotbodies will become the supplier of all racing bodywork and screens for the team and, importantly, will work closely with us to develop these products. “At the same time, Ten Kate Racing Products will become the European distributor for Hotbodies,” he added, “and this dual partnership reflects the true spirit of our companies, both of whom share not only a passion for the sport but a determination to be the best in their field.” Hotbodies Racing president, Roger Davis, said: “It’s an honor for Hotbodies to work with such an outstanding race team as Ten Kate, whose name is also synonymous with the racing products industry the world over. We’re looking forward to winning together in 2009.”
