Melissa Paris Enters 2009 Daytona 200 in Support of Dr. Susan Love Foundation Markbilt Racebikes is proud to announce Rookie AMA Superbike Series Road Racer Melissa Paris’ entry into the 2009 Daytona 200. Riding a GYTR sponsored Yamaha R6, Paris will not only be fighting for positions on the racetrack, but will also be racing towards a donation goal of $5000 that will support the Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation. The Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation works to eradicate breast cancer and improve the quality of women’s health through innovative research, education, and advocacy. By racing in the Daytona 200 Melissa hopes to raise awareness for this important cause. Paris had this to say about her entry into the 200, “I think that competing in the Daytona 200 will be a perfect opportunity to bring attention to such an important cause and to raise valuable funds for research. It seems to me, like too often the fight against Breast Cancer is a woman’s cause. In reality this disease affects everybody, men included. After all, every man has a mother, a sister, a girlfriend, a wife, or a daughter who may be challenged by it. That’s why I think this race will be a great chance to bring awareness to this fight!”. To show your support for the Dr. Susan Love Foundation, you can make a donation by visiting ~http://www.firstgiving.com/melissaparis~. You can also lend your support for Melissa’s race team effort by using the Paypal link on her website www.melissaparis.com. She is supported by JHR – Josh Hayes Racing, Markbilt Racebikes, GYTR, Pirelli Tires, Onthethrottle.tv, Nomadic Cycle Supply, Pilot racing leathers and LeoVince Exhaust.
