AMA ROADRACER & NATIONAL AMATEUR DIRT TRACK CHAMPION MEIRING SIGNS WITH ROCKETMOTOGROUP, LLC FOR REPRESENTATION January 14, 2009 (El Dorado Hills, CA) — RocketMotoGroup, LLC (RMG), announced today that AMA Proracing American Superbike and Daytona SportBike racer Tony Meiring has signed an agreement for management representation with RocketMotoGroup, beginning with the 2009 season. “The RMG team is respectful of what I want to accomplish with my racing career and really understands the rider perspective,” says Meiring. “It became clear to me that they were a good organization to associate with and I’m excited to begin working with them on finalizing my 2009 plans and mapping out a course for the future.” Founded by Rob Kemp and Shaunn Fullmer, RocketMotoGroup, LLC has recently announced their athlete representation business. RocketMotoGroup offers management representation as part of a growing list of motor sports related services the company provides. “Tony approached RocketMotoGroup after learning of our business from Shaun Summers, whom we have a longstanding relationship with,” says Shaunn. “When we started talking through what his needs were and how RMG approaches the business side of racing, he identified some areas where we could assist him. These talks solidified our business relationship.” About Tony Meiring Born in 1983, Tony Meiring achieved early success racing dirt track. Tony was a three time National Amateur Dirt Track Champion and earned numerous titles including 1999 Dirt Track Horizon Award Recipient. For 2001, Tony campaigned a privateer program in the highly competitive AMA road racing SuperStock class. His efforts resulted in 2 podium finishes and sixth place in overall point’s classification. Between 2002 and 2003, Tony moved to the Kawasaki Factory effort in SuperSport and SuperStock classes. He earned 5 podiums, a race win and top 11 in the overall points classification of each class. In 2004, Tony moved to Attack Kawasaki with continued success. In 2005 Tony signed with Corona Suzuki where he competed in SuperStock and Formula Xtreme. The 2006 season saw Tony sign on with Safety First Suzuki. Tony finished out the 2007 season with Team Stargel Yamaha in the Formula Xtreme class scoring multiple top ten finishes and 12th place overall.
