Road Racer Craig Mason of Auburn, California will race a Fast50s-Greater Yamaha-Moto Elite backed YZ450F in the Supermoto Premiere class this weekend at the finale of the Xtrm AMA Supermoto Championship, Nov. 14-16. This weekend’s race will be a double-header at Infineon Raceway in the Wine Country of Sonoma, CA. This will mark Mason’s first start in AMA Supermoto since 2006 when he finished 14th in Supermoto Lites at the season opener at California Speedway. Mason is a part time racer in AMA Pro Road Racing, SuperMoto, minibikes and pretty much anything on two wheels. He is also CEO of Fast50s.com and a dad of two young boys who also race, Cort and Cade. Mason started racing motocross in 1987 full time and after about 5 years off he started racing Supermoto in 2003. Mason was ranked 15th in the 2005 AMA SM Lites Championship after only doing selected rounds. He also recently received the AMA Supermoto Grand Championship #1 plate in the Vet 35 class. “Supermoto is really a great sport and I would like to thank Brok McAllister of Supermoto USA and Myron Short of Xtrm for reminding me that I could in fact dust off the old 450 to have some fun with the boys.”
