More, from another press release issued by ASMA:

Edgington Wins 6 Championships

19 year old expert Kevin Edgington won 3 races this Sunday, continuing his mid season form that took him to 5 ASMA class championships and the overall point’s championship.

Temperatures in the low 70’s and bright sunshine set the stage for the fastest lap time in ASMA history.

The day started with the Edge Kawasaki Unlimited SuperStock race, and it was Thibault Few with the holeshot on his GSXR1000. Few led the first lap as Canadian Chris Peris and Idaho’s Kane Lasky worked their way up from 4th row starts. On lap 2 Peris overhauled Few and began to open a gap, setting a new record of 1:06.805 on lap 3. Lasky was also on the move, although he picked up flying debris from an off track excursion by Scott Bergen and took over 2nd position on the same lap. Few held on for the final podium position, with Peris’ teammate Tom Savoca 4th and class champion Edgington bringing his Kawasaki 600 home in 5th.

Edgington dominated the Rio Yamaha Middleweight SuperStock race, as well as the 108 Motorsports Heavyweight Superbike and Middleweight Superbike races.

The most anticipated race of the weekend was the Formula Arroyo by Evan Steel Performance, and it didn’t disappoint! Peris took the holeshot, followed by outgoing champion Roger Heemsbergen, Few, Edgington and Lasky. Heemsbergen was able to stay close to leader Peris for a lap and a half before Peris once again disappeared from the pack. Lasky passed Few on the brakes on lap 4 and the podium finishers were set, but racing for 4th between Few, Scott Bergen and Edgington was one of the best all season. Bergen was able to use his GSXR1000 to pass the 600 on the long back straight on lap 10 to hold on for 4th, with Edgington and Few close behind.

Other racers with exceptional weekends included Adam Rogers, who won Formula Amateur, Amateur Unlimited Superbike and Amateur Unlimited Superbike, and Ken Murray, who swept Lightweight Superbike, Lightweight Grand Prix and Heavyweight Twins
