JiR Team Scot head to Malaysia and last ‘long-haul’ Grand Prix! Sunday October 19th will see the penultimate Grand Prix of the 2008 season with the ‘long-haul’ rounds, which began a month ago in Indianapolis, USA. Since then the JiR Team Scot riders have been facing the challenges of Japan and Australia. The Malaysian circuit, which is 85 km from Kuala Lumpur, was opened in 1999 and built to the highest technological standards to offer the public a true spectacle, and the riders the optimal track conditions for competition. All the pits are equipped with air conditioning, and the tarmac was designed to ensure maximum grip even in the tropical, humid climate. Andrea Dovizioso and Yuki Takahashi are fully committed to consolidating their positions in their respective championships and aiming to give JiR Team Scot the best results possible. The track I do not particularly like, with its two long straights that are not favourable to our motorcycle, but if I think that in Japan we had similar conditions, then maybe we could get another good result.
