Roadracingworld.com has learned that AMA Racing Senior Director Bryan Cohn has been fired. Responding to a request for more information, AMA spokesman Pete terHorst wrote in an e-mail: “As of September 25, Bryan Cohn, Senior Director for Racing, is no longer employed at the American Motorcyclist Association. The AMA does not comment on the reasons for the dismissal of employees, believing that it is inappropriate to comment personnel matters. With respect to Mr. Cohn’s responsibilities, the AMA is in the process of restructuring its racing department to better serve amateur racing and to fulfill its role as the sanctioning body for Supercross, and will make announcements about the changes later this fall.”
