Updated: Free AMA Superbike Fan Party Being Held Friday Night In Seaside, California

MONTEREY, Calif. (September 24, 2008) The Corona AMA Superbike Finale is this weekend and to start this event off with a great bike party, Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca is hosting a free fan event with AMA rider appearances, a SupermotoUSA demonstration, silent auction, vendors, barbeque and the Mazda Raceway Girls. The event is this Friday, September 26, at the Embassy Suites in Seaside from 6 9 pm. AMA riders joining the fan festivities will be Yamaha’s Jason DiSalvo and Josh Herrin; Factory Suzuki’s Tommy Hayden; Jordan Suzuki’s Geoff May; M4 EMGO Suzuki’s Martin Cardenas, Cory West and Blake Young; Roadracingworld.com Suzuki’s Robertino Pietri and Chris Ulrich and Ducati rider Larry Pegram. The event is presented by Scorpion Exo Helmets in conjunction with Sportbike Night on the Peninsula and features a Charitable Silent Auction to benefit Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford, Calif. This is a free event for the fans with plenty of cool bikes on display and everyone is encouraged to bring their bikes. The Embassy Suites Monterey is on the Corner of Canyon Del Rey and Del Monte in Seaside. The world-renowned raceway has been operated since its inception by the Sports Car Racing Association of the Monterey Peninsula (SCRAMP), a not-for-profit 501C(4) corporation. Each race season, SCRAMP donates its net proceeds to the volunteer groups that help put on the races.
